The Plumber is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems in compliance with Dubai Municipality and Abu Dhabi Municipality standards. The role requires technical expertise in handling water supply, drainage, and sewage systems while ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Installation of Plumbing Systems:
   • Install, assemble, and test water supply systems, drainage systems, and sewage lines as per project specifications.
   • Lay pipes, fittings, valves, and fixtures, ensuring proper alignment and connections.
   • Ensure installations comply with Dubai Municipality and Abu Dhabi Municipality standards.
2. Maintenance and Repairs:
   • Perform routine maintenance of plumbing systems, including cleaning, unclogging, and inspecting pipes.
   • Diagnose and repair plumbing issues, such as leaks, blockages, or damaged pipes and fixtures.
   • Replace defective components and ensure proper functionality post-repair.
3. Compliance and Standards:
   • Follow all municipal codes and regulations for plumbing works, including water conservation measures.
   • Use approved materials, tools, and methods to ensure compliance with local and international standards.
4. Testing and Inspection:
   • Conduct pressure and leak tests to ensure the integrity of plumbing systems.
   • Inspect plumbing systems to identify and resolve any potential issues before final project handover.
5. Coordination and Communication:
   • Collaborate with site supervisors, engineers, and other trades to ensure smooth integration of plumbing systems.
   • Provide updates on work progress and resolve on-site challenges promptly.
6. Safety Practices:
   • Adhere to safety protocols, including the proper use of tools, equipment, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
   • Ensure work areas are safe and hazard-free during and after plumbing activities.
7. Documentation:
   • Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and inspections.
   • Submit reports to supervisors or project managers on completed work and identified issues.

Requirements:

• Diploma or technical certification in plumbing or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience as a plumber, preferably in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, including water supply, drainage, and sewage systems.
• Familiarity with Dubai Municipality and Abu Dhabi Municipality standards and regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret plumbing blueprints, drawings, and technical documents.
• Skilled in using plumbing tools and equipment for installation and repair work.
• Understanding of water conservation practices and sustainable plumbing methods.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in working with residential, commercial, and industrial plumbing systems.
• Knowledge of fire water systems, booster pumps, and solar water heaters.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
